Erickson & Oppenheimer obtained another not guilty after a bench trial today. The arresting officer testified that he detected a strong odor of marijuana on the defendant’s breath and clothing and that the defendant exhibited numberous signs of impairment. Following defense counsel’s cross-examination of the officer, the Cook County judge found that she “had problems with the officer’s credibility” and dismissed the charges at the close of the State’s case.
